In the beginning of 2023, she was diagnosed for a 4th time. This time with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.
She appointed a Personal Assistant, her then, soon to be, Daughter-in-Law, Lizet Schutte, to help with all the daily admin, as she was getting too weak to do things herself anymore.
During the beginning of April 2023, she named her oldest son, Rian van der Walt, co-owner.
By then she was too weak to do most of the business her self, and had to turn to someone she trusted to keep the business going and her year long clients & friends serviced the best way possible under difficult circumstances.
Unfortunately Ezelle left us to soon for her Heavenly home on 5 June 2023 and will be surely missed.
Rian & Lizet van der Walt took over the business and let her legacy live on.
A brand is a personality that identifies a product, service or company and how it relates to consumers, staff, partners, investors and other stakeholders. Exclusive Car Bows strives to make the brand, product or services relevant to the target stakeholder.
As we outsource all Embroidery & Printing, the Branding costs are extra to the price of our standard car covers & bonnet bows and the Embroiderers & Printers will only do the design with prior payment as they have to protect their time and creativity.
Our Embroiderers & Printers will create a professional Branding proof that we will email to you for final approval before they start working on your fabric.
If you would like Branding, we will need a jpeg or png file with your artwork (logos and wording) which will be digitized by the Embroiderers & Printers to give an exact copy of the original.
We make no profit on Branding. It’s merely a service we offer to our clients.
Our Process
Our Process is as follows:
- We prepare a Quote according to the information provided
- The client Approve the Quote, with all relevant information needed on the Invoice
- We prepare an Invoice
- For Branded Option:
- As soon as we received the POP for the Deposit amount, as per your Invoice:
- The client sends us ALL the information needed for the Branding (Logo’s in PDF or JPEG, as well as all additional wording, color, etc.)
- We order your Fabric on the next Wednesday Order date. (Fabric & Supply orders are ONLY done on a Wednesday, for all Deposits paid. If not Paid in time, it will be ordered with the next order date)
- We send all the Branding information to the Embroiders or the Printer to do the Digitizing. The Digitizing does not always just take a day or two, as our Embroiders and Printers are extremely busy. They forward it to us at their earliest convenience
- We forward the Artwork done by the Embroiders or Printers back to the client for approval
- As soon as the client has Approved the Artwork in writing, we send the fabric to the Embroiders or Printers to start working on the order. They do not get the fabric before we received approval from the client in writing
- The minute we get the fabric with the branding back from the Embroiders or the Printers, we will start working on the order
- For None-Branded Option:
- As soon as we received the POP for the Deposit amount, as per your Invoice:
- We order your Fabric on the next Wednesday Order date. (Fabric & Supply orders are ONLY done on a Wednesday, for all Deposits paid. If not Paid in time, it will be ordered with the next order date)
- As soon as we receive the delivery, the fabric will go to the seamstress to start working on your order
- We keep all our clients updated on the progress of their order, on a weekly base
- Depending on the number of orders we get in:
- For all orders with Branding, we allow 20-25 working days, as we outsource to Pretoria’s best, and unfortunately, due to all the orders they are getting in most of the time, they are not always able to get work done as fast as they would like.
- For all work with No Branding, we allow 15-20 working days, especially when we receive orders for colours of fabric that is a bit harder to get hold of from time to time.
- Please keep in mind that every item is hand-made by our ONE Inhouse Seamstress and are not made by mass production.
- That is not to say that an order will take this long, as it hardly ever happens, but rather be prepared to wait a little longer and get your order earlier than the other way around!
- As soon as your order is done:
- We will inform you via email to
- request the Balance to be paid
- request the information needed for all courier purposes. Collection dates and times will also be on this email.
- We will inform you via email to
- If you still have an amount outstanding, you will have to pay the remaining amount BEFORE collection / delivery will take place.
- We kindly ask you to forward us pictures of your order, after you have received it, for our marketing purposes.
- You are also welcome to leave a review for us on Facebook or on our website.
Just a reminder that we only order and get our fabric delivery once a week on a Monday. If we missed it this week, it would have to wait for next week Wednesday before we will be able to place the next order.
PS: All quotes are only valid for 30 days, and are there after subject to change due to supplier's price increases, etc.

We make Custom made Bows on Order. That means that these 20 Style of Bows are more a guideline than a set collection of Bows.
We can customize any of these bows, to a certain extent, according to your needs. We will just need more time to design, quote and make these customized bows.
BUT
We can also make a completely new design for you, should you need something totally different. You will just have to give us full details about what you need, design, fabric, etc. We will just need more time to design, quote and make these customized bows.
OR
If you need something and our bows do not fit your budget, provide us with what your budget is, and we will look into something that could fit your budget. We will just need more time to design, quote and make these customized bows.
Always remember to ask, and we will assist the best we can.
Please just remember that every Bow and Cover are getting Handmade, on order, by our inhouse Seamstress.
We do NOT do Mass Production and cannot make something happen that is not humanly possible, but we will always do our best to assist the best we can.

Quote Garuntee
If you are not completely satisfied with the Quote that was send to you, and you can find another Quote, for the Same Product, at another company, you are more than welcome to send it to us, and we will do our best to match, or beat, the quote. Please always talk to us, should there be anything that you are not happy with.

Our Car Covers are Durable & Stylish, available in various styles and colors, that protect vehicles during delivery and enhance presentation. Branding for all our Car Covers are available. Choose between Printing and Embroidery, for most of the styles.
Custom-Made Bonnet Bows
Our Beautifully crafted bonnet bows are available in various styles, colors and sizes, to suit all types of vehicles. Do not see what you like, then speak to us and we will do our best to design a bow to your needs. Branding is available on most of our Bows.
Multi- Color Bows
We do not bind you to a One-Color Bow. We have made multiple Multi-Color Bows according to the client's needs. Most clients do prefer a One-Color Bow, we do not limit you to be the same as Most Clients. Please always talk to us and let us know exactly what you need. We will do our Best to deliver to your Special Needs

Owner
Lizet is originally from Lichtenburg, Northwest, where she lived for almost 44 years. She worked at the Ford Dealership for just more than 10 years, in the Accounting Department. From there she moved on to the biggest Panel Shop in town, where she continued her Admin and Accounting journey. When Ezelle got sick again in the beginning of 2023, she moved to Pretoria, to assist her soon to be Mother-in-Law, Ezelle, with Exclusive Car Bows. When Ezelle passed away, Lizet and Rian, Ezelle's oldest son, took over the company. Today she is running the company side-by-side with her husband, Rian van der Walt
Rian van der Walt
Co-Owner
Rian van der Walt is the oldest son of the former owner, Ezelle van der Walt. In 2007 he helped his mom to start Exclusive Car Bows, when funds were running low for her Cancer Treatments. He went from Dealership to Dealership, across the country to do marketing for his mom and help finding customers for the new upcoming company. After his mom passed away, he and his wife took over the company and is still going strong, serving their loyal customers. When Rian is not working at Exclusive Car Bows, he is better known as Ryan Walt, the country's Professional Pan Flute Player.

We are so happy to welcome Elsie Mgabi as our new Seamstress. (Elsie started with us during middle March 2026.) She has been a professional Seamstress, for the last 25 years (of which she was a Sewing Instructor for 6 years). Her work is very Professional and of Top Quality. When you buy a Bow or Cover from us in the future, you can be sure to have quality work done, hand-made, with love and care, by the best in the industry.
